ELECTRONIC GRADE N-BUTYL ACETATE

N-butyl acetate is a colorless transparent liquid with a pleasant fruity odor. Unlike lower molecular weight homologues (such as methyl acetate, ethyl acetate and propyl acetate), it is insoluble in water, but is miscible with organic solvents, such as alcohol, ether and ketone. It is flammable, and its toxicity is low. Moreover, inhaling n-butyl acetate in high concentration can have anesthetic effects. It can well dissolve ethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate butyrate, polystyrene, methacrylic resin, chlorinated rubber and a variety of natural gums. It also can be used as cleaning agent or as negative photoresist developer in the electronic industry.
